21 December 2023: CNM Estates has updated its proposals to deliver serviced office spaces, serviced accommodation and two residential units at 12-16 High Street, Walton, as they continue their plans to reinvigorate the High Street and provide new jobs and benefits to the local economy. The previous planning application was rejected by Elmbridge Borough Council Planning in September 2023 on the grounds of ‘loss of residential’.
The developer (CNM) has consider all the feedback from the Planning meeting and has reduced the massing of the building to consider the needs to residents in both the Heart and The Walton Conservation area of Church Street and Bridge Street so that views and scale are reduced.
They have continued to enhance the seeding and greening of the site which will allow for biodiversity to thrive.
Parking and cycle storage provision is included, however this is no shortage of local parking available close by with both Drewitts Court and the Heart Shopping Centre having plenty excess spaces.
